P52 - Pastel - 17/52

Chris and I found a piece of paradise in a quiet, little Utah valley this morning.  The pastel red of the rock cliffs is a beautiful contrast to the vibrant blue sky.

P52 - Mine - 16/52

This week just flew by.  Before I knew, it Chris's parents were here, and my hopes for getting this week's challenge done on time were gone.  Even though I took a million pictures this weekend, none of them were really about me.  That is, until I saw these beauties on my gigantic, monster artichoke plants.

I have been waiting over a year (without much hope) for something, anything, to appear.  They are here, and they are all mine!

P52 - White - 15/52

My daily life in black and white... and a little bit of neon blue.  Because it's the little things, like crazy colored markers, that keep you sane while combing though 30 plan sheets looking for the tiniest mistake.

Such is the life of an engineer.

P52 - Radiate - 14/52

It's been a rainy weekend.  In this near-desert I am always thankful for the rain.  But, I love that beautiful, soft sunshine that breaks through the clouds at the end of the storm nearly as much.  The few brave flowers peeking into bloom on my jasmine vines love to feel the sun radiating down on them too.

I AM Ironman... again

Last night, after the longest run of my life (seriously), I finished my Ironman March goal.  I'd love to show you the awesome screen capture of mile 4.12, but my milage counter decided to take a pause after mile 3, so this will have to do.

Or maybe this would be better.  Not quite the victorious finish I was hoping for...

Either way, I made it to the finish line: 26.2 miles of running, 112 miles of biking, and 2.4 miles of swimming DONE!!

I've learned two very important lessons this month:  That I STILL hate running, and that work really gets in the way of the rest of the things I'd like to do with my life.  Things like taking long bike rides on beautiful days, swimming in an emtpy pool, and grocery shopping on a Tuesday afternoon.  The simple things.  :)
