P52 - Catchup

So many weeks behind... Here's few of the recent catch-up pics

42/52 - Food - Breakfast in NYC.

43/52 - My Happy Place - Ready to go somewhere... anywhere.

44/52 - Me, Myself, and I

47/52 - Colors of the Rainbow - Oranges, beets, sprouts, and more.

P52 - Timeless - 48/52

Chris and I went hiking at Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country today.  I couldn't think of a better representation for timeless than Enchanted Rock itself.  It's been around for millions of years and has been entertaining us humans for at least 10,000.  Timeless indeed.

P52 - 45/52 - Vibrant

I spent most of last week in New York City - for work, I swear.  My room was right across from Central Park.  Who wouldn't love the opportunity to walk amongst the vibrant fall leaves every morning??

P52 - Red - 40/52

Red things aren't easy to find in the summer in Texas.  There's plenty of brown and not much else.  I saw this sign while walking down the street in Fredericksburg today, right as I was about to give up on finding something.

As an aside, week 40 already?  Where did this year go?

P52 - Heavy - 39/52

Heavy luggage and a heavy heart.

For the last three months, Atlanta has been an adventure, a refuge from the whirlwind of life, and a place of renewal.  Tomorrow, I step back into the storm and pray that I make it through to the other side.

P52 - Shapes - 36/52

Rectangles of glass wrapped around a concrete spiral and a lady shaped from stone looking out over it all.

P52 - 33/52 - Random

A group of ladies from all the Texas offices in our company gathered for a girls's weekend in this crazy blue cabin on the river.  Random does not even begin to describe all the treasures it contained.

This little corner of the house was a particular favorite of mine.

P52 - Landscape - 31/52

Landscapes aren't all trees and big open spaces.  Sometimes, the mountains and the sea meet up with a beautiful, vibrant city to create an even more spectacular view.

There are lots more photos of my trip to Vancouver here, and if you'd like to read about the trip, click on over here.

P52 - Loud - 30/52

I've spent the majority of the last month working in Kimley-Horn's Midtown Atlanta office.  While it's been a great experience, I've been on a few too many long flights as a result.  The dull roar of the airplane engines is so loud no matter what you do!

P52 - Weakness - 29/52

The single remaining wall of this proud, old home is too weak to stand on its own.

P52 - Silly - 28/52

The Piedmont Park Farmer's Market has a great kids play area complete with all the toys you need to be good and silly!

P25 - Old - 26/52

I traveled to Atlanta for work this week and discovered this beautiful, old, church across the street from my hotel.  First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.  Founded in 1848.

P52 - Euphoria - 27/52

4th of July fireworks... an euphoric display of American spirit.  Thank you NeSmith family for letting me be your 4th wheel tonight!

P52 - Dreamy - 25/52

Daydreaming... watching the clouds roll by.

P52 - Motion - 24/52

After a week of sweltering evening temperatures, it was finally cool enough tonight for the dogs to be in motion in the backyard.  Run for it Sam!!

P52 - Blur - 23/52

This one was just plain fun.  A spinning blur under the tree in the backyard.

P52 - My Life - 22/52

My life has gotten the best of my photography habit the last few weeks.

I spent the first week in June trapped in corporate training in Dallas and all of this past week recovering my inbox from said training.  My life pretty much revolves around work... and my next escape from work, so this photo seems like an appropriate snapshot.  Messy desk littered with too many papers - travel photos in the background.  Have to keep an eye on the prize after all.

P52 - My Back Yard - 21/52

Our backyard: An over-grown garden, some new fence slats, a friend's muddy dog... what more do you need?

P52 - Light - 20/52

Chris and I took advantage of the beautiful Friday weather to bike about 15 miles of the San Antonio River trail.  One of our last stops of the evening was at Mission San Juan Capistrano.  We snuck up to the building to get a better look at the white facade glowing in the bright lights.

P52 - Faces - 19/52

How can you not love my Sam boy's sweet face?
